OK, so this part was a surprise. Lauren had to have surgery this morning for a colostomy. This will stay present for a few months until she is completely healed from other surgeries... We have been told that she will require two more surgeries over a few additional months to finish the task of creating the tube for her to be able to make a proper bowel in the proper place...
Daddy and I went to visit her after she recovered-she was so peacefully sleeping. As we were getting ready to leave she opened her eyes for us. First time for me since i saw her at birth, so I was really excited!
