Today was a great day! Lauren continues to get better and heal. Her spinal fluid came back with great numbers. So much that they are anticipating a surgery Friday to internalize a new shunt. She received an extra stitch today again because the external one keeps leaking, but this seemed to do the trick for the most part. Still leaking a little, but not much.
I don't even know how to explain how alert Lauren is being. She currently has polka-dot circles hanging from her bed top and taped to the sides of the bed that bedazzle her get up, but amaze her. She loves it when you talk, or sing to her, and make silly noises. She adores all of the attention and can get fussy if you don't entertain-sometimes I wonder if I am creating a monster;) I am just thrilled with her progress and love her so very much!
We are looking forward to more good days!
